Workshop for Teachers - Creative Language Development through Yoga, Intuitive Movement and Dance

Zoom Workshop for primary school teachers hosted by Tralee Education Centre

4th April 2022, 7pm

This webinar is the second of two in exploring how to use the practices of mindfulness, yoga and intuitive movement in enhancing emotional processing and creative language development in primary school children.

In this webinar we will look at how the development of oral language can be enhanced by a kinaesthetic learning approach. We will examine the various different movement capacities of the body through both yoga and intuitive movement/dance and how to empower children and increase their bodily awareness through learning and creating their own vocabulary to describe their physical movements.

This webinar will be experiential in nature and I encourage all participants to take part in the movement and mindfulness activities if they can in order to have a better understanding of how to implement these practices in the classroom.

Zoom Workshop for primary school teachers hosted by Tralee Education Centre

28th March 2022, 7pm

This webinar will be the first of two in exploring how to use the practices of mindfulness, yoga and intuitive movement in enhancing emotional processing and creative language development in primary school children.

In this webinar we will look at how mindfulness can be an effective tool in allowing children to access their emotions. We will look at how to teach children to experience their emotions in the body rather than trying to process them with the mind alone and explore intuitive movement and dance as vehicles to experience and express feelings and emotions in a more kinaesthetic way.

This webinar will be experiential in nature and I encourage all participants to take part in the movement and mindfulness activities if they can in order to have a better understanding of how to implement these practices in the classroom.
